1. Equipment

Boards:

As per the ACL Rules & Regulations Overview, cornhole boards must be made of wood only (birch or oak recommended) with a smooth finish.

• Size: 24" x 48" (±¼")

• Hole: 6" diameter, 9" from the back

• Thickness: ≥½" (with support) or ¾" (without)

• Minimum weight: 15 lbs

• Front height: 2.5"–3.5" | Back height: 12" (±½")

• No foreign substances after purchase

Bags:

As per the ACL Rules & Regulations Overview, bags must be on the ACL Approved Manufacturer List.

• Size: 6" x 6" (±¼") | Weight: 15.5–16.5 oz

• Thickness: 1.1"–1.5"

• Washable with detergent/fabric softener

• No modifications (e.g., resewing, restuffing)

2. Court Layout

Court Dimensions:

According to the ACL Rules & Regulations Overview, the court consists of two boards placed 27' apart (±½"), facing each other.

• Foul line: front edge of the board

• Ceiling clearance: minimum 12'

3. Pre-Game Procedures

Coin Toss:

As per the ACL Rules & Regulations Overview, the coin toss can be a standard toss or a bag spin.

• Winner chooses lane or throwing order

Practice Throws:

• "Down and back" unless all players decline

• Singles: 1 full round both ways

• Doubles: one round per player at each board

4. Gameplay Rules
